The English Bantam Bulldogge is what the original bulldog was in the mid 1700s. He was originally a very small dog that was called a "toy bulldog". Through cross breeding efforts, the end result is what we now know as the English Bulldog which can reach up to 75 pounds and sometimes larger. We have been breeding backward to obtain what was the original toy bulldog standard.
These are the bulldogs of the future. Spec's for these bulldog's are 12-14 inches tall and weighing 20-40 lbs. These pups fill the bill for those who live in condos or apartments where there are weight restrictions on having a pet. These bulldogs are just as bully as the bigger version of English Bulldogs. They do not have the problems the bigger versions have with heat and cold. They can become a lap pal very easily. Very loyal and loving.
